Overall, Caico is regarded as a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Sicily in Agrigento.
Best meal in Sicily so far. Beautiful place, perfect service, linen tablecloth, and incredible local food. You'll find a mix of the "greatest hits" (sword fish pasta, and seafood antipasti) alongside some more original recipes like cod and the best caponata ever. Highly recommend, even though it has no sea view.
Like. Just take time to come there and enjoy the meal and wine as much as possible. Service is a bit slower but makes sense it was really hot that day. Food is amazing. White wine I got - heaven. So in general very good for looong lunches.
A True Italian fine experience.Definitely a place that deserves your presence, once the experience tends to make it up for everything.I strongly recommend a visit.
Super good food. Great service. Decent prices. Not a trap for tourists, but more a local restaurant. We loved the food here
The best restaurant in San Leone. We were there 3 times during 5 days. Perfect kitchen with good service. Last day we had langusta (for the first time) and steak with red wine sauce. Great experience of sicilian tastes. Go there!
Excellent trattoria, the food is outstanding, definitely a “must visit” if you’re around the area.Service was casual, they let the dishes do the talking. It took a while to order drinks, and the wine menu wasn’t immediately given, so when I eventually decided what to drink they didn’t have the bottle, etc etc. This is more my problem than the restaurants, I’ll know for next time! However! I noticed that nobody had the wine menu, so I think perhaps ordering is more commonly based on pairing recommendations from the waiting staff, than actually choosing yourself. The food is outstanding and I think the price is really honest. The outdoor terrace area is beautiful too, it’s just a great place.
Best dining experience so far in all of Sicily. Marco was very accommodating even bringing in a basin with the catch of the day to our table. Two bottles of wine were excellent! Smoked fish, scampi and main dishes plus dessert. Stayed for 3 hrs. Used google translate to help get us thru. Friendly, appreciative, hospitable and clean dining experience.
I've never seen so many wines and spirits on display in one restaurant before. We were seated before opening because the owner wanted us to have dinner. The staff could not be more wonderful. Even with the language difference they spoke slowly enough for us to understand what they were saying. We had the house red which was lovely. For dinner we had cod in a cherry tomato broth and a mixed salad. Both very fresh and the fish perfectly cooked. The dish was delicious. Off season is hard to find restaurants in Sicily... I'm happy they are open and available to us.
